Freddie Bain
Freddie Bain is one of Chicago's premier disc jockeys. A 15 year veteran behind the decks, his many talents are not confined to the turntables. The dance music industry continues to benefit from Freddie's promotional and entertainment events, his artist representation and magazine editing, as well as his uncanny ability to promote and break new music.

Currently, Freddie holds club residencies at both Cocktail Club, a popular destination located in the frenzied Halsted Street nightlife corridor, and at Red Dog's Boom Boom Room, a Monday night institution in Chicago.

Jungle Jorge
Originally hailing from Havana Cuba, DJ "Jungle" Jorge's first club gig was at the Hangue-Uppe in 1984 and he has been a fixture on the Chicago scene ever since. Currently he resides at Spin, Roscoe's, Atmosphere and Steamworks. He is without a doubt the hardest working man on Halsted St. He has held gigs at such legendarys spots as Circuit Nightclub, Qwest, The Riviera, Karma, Shadows, and the China Club. A true aficionado of all styles of underground, Jorge was appointed to the prestigious Billboard Dance panel of Reporters in 1991 and is still holds this title 13 years later. Having production credits on Playhouse Records, Trax Records Chicago, and ZYX (The Bardot Swing), Jorge started two independent labels in the early 1990's - Absorb Music and Umbra Records.

Mark Vallese
I went to a "disco" for the first time back in 1978 and from the moment I stepped in those doors,
I was hooked. This years marks my 25th year as a club DJ and I still love spinning music today as much, if not more so, than the day I started. In Chicago, I've worked at numerous clubs, including Broadway Ltd., Carols Speakeasy, Loading Dock, Christopher Street, Manhole, Vortex and Deeks. For the past 5 years I've had a residency at Cell Block, a leather/levi club located in the heart of Boystown. Every summer I can be found doing gigs at The Dunes, a gay resort in Saugatuck Michigan. I've also had the pleasure of doing guest DJ spots and playing special
events in cities all across the US. The best way for me to sum up my career as a disc jockey is with the words of Patti LaBelle... "Music is my life, gotta keep on dancing"

Mike Serafini
Undoubtedly one of the unsung heros of Chicago's underground dance music scene, Michael Serafini has been spinning in countless clubs to countless crowds for over ten years. As one of the head managers and buyers at Gramaphone Records since 1995, Michael's influence on the Chicago scene can not be understated; he provides and selects records for most of the working djs here in the city. Stylistically speaking, Michael is an innovator. His sets are a hypnotic blend of deep and progressive grooves, with it's eyes on the future while still maintaining a respect for the past. Currently, Michael is in the process of adding production and remixing duties to his resume, constructing tracks with vocalist Javante.

Ken – E
"Standing on the right side of the DJ for so many years has really given me a good ear for what moves me, as well as an outlook on what moves the dance floor", quotes DJ Ken-E with a devilish smile and joyous energy as he blends his beats among the cascading lights.

Known for his past wizardry as a premiere lighting programmer at some of Chicago's hottest dance clubs, such as Vortex, Fusion, Crobar Chicago, Roscoe's, and Hunters, DJ Ken-E blends his visual wisdom with his technical skill on the turntables to create a magnificent show for any club hopper. His unique style intricately weaves elevating tribal beats with house diva and anthem vocals, and simultaneously arouses any dance floor extraordinaire, circuit-goer, or new coming bystander into the hands in the air experience.

Although DJ Ken-E's name has been known in the Chicago club scene for over 10 years, he exhibits a strong and steady climb in the Chicago DJ scene through his residencies at popular gay dance clubs from Roscoes in the heart of Chicago's Boystown to Hunters Dance Club in the greater Chicagoland area.

Timmy Loop
A Chicago native, Timmy Loop grew up listening to the radio. Classic Rock and Country influenced his earliest musical beginnings. By the mid-80’s, WGCI and WBMX began broadcasting a High Energy sound that would soon be called House. He was hooked.Timmy wanted decks and a mixer, but his parents swayed him away from buying any equipment at the time. The radio sound would have to be enough, giving Timmy the chance to build his collection of records. Once he moved out on his own, he purchased a set of 1200’s (the same pair he still uses at home today,) and a Gemini mixer. Practicing in every spare moment he had, Timmy taught himself how to mix. He was heading out into the clubs every night he could, absorbing the sounds of the DJ's of the time: Freddie Bain, Ralphi Rosario, Michael Serafini and others.Timmy's passion for the dance floor made him a regular on the scene. Eventually he forged a pivotal and long-lasting friendship with Freddie Bain. Taking him under his wing, Freddie opened the way by giving Timmy a guest spot on a night known as “The House Of Tut.” He was on edge that first night, nervous about his first gig, but with the help and encouragement of friends, his career as a DJ began.Guest and resident spots at Spin Nightclub, Cocktail Club, Crobar Chicago, Red Dog, Karma, Spy Bar, Convent, Manhole, Circuit Nightclub and almost every other Halstead bar have given Timmy the years of training needed to command the decks the way he does. Timmy can be found as a resident every Thursday at Cocktail Club, Friday’s at Spin Nightclub, Saturday’s at @mosphere, along with occasional guest spots at Technicolor and other clubs around Chicago. Timmy has developed a sound for everyone. He is known for House, but his broad range of styles creates a unique sound at each venue he plays. Maybe he's Deep and Underground at Cocktail Club. He could be playing for the dance floor at Spin Nightclub, throwing his inspiring mix of Tech Pop and Vocal House. The Pop tunes at @mosphere keep the crowd alive. Master of movement, Timmy's mixing style is flawlessly transparent. A night of his music takes you on a journey into his style. Each song flows from one to the next as if it was written that way. Whether you are dancing, chatting with friends, checking out the scene, or simply appreciating the music, before you realize it you'll start to move. It’s beyond your control. She IS the DJ.

Greg Haus
DJ Greg Haus has been part of Chicago's electronic music scene since the early '90s, Spinning at such diverse clubs as Berlin, Dome Room, Neo, & Crobar Chicago. His musical selections tend to be edgy but accessible - electro, progressive, break beat, hard house and beyond. "Cosmix" at Berlin, his current Friday night residency, has been a popular late night destination for over 5 years. The club has been a good fit for him, as his sets generally compliment the multicultural atmosphere of the venue. Greg occasionally spins on Saturdays as well, when he's not playing guest spots at various clubs throughout the country.

Greg is also music department coordinator at Berlin, which has received "Best Dance Club in Chicago" kudos from various publications, including Rolling Stone, Spin, New City, & Citysearch.com. It was named a runner up as one of the Top 10 clubs in the U.S. by Thousand Words magazine. Revolution Magazine also mentioned his residency as one of the Windy City's must-see club nights. "I like to surprise people and mix in things that are unexpected...
it keeps things interesting for everyone" – GH

Lightning Lu Lu
For those of you who have known me through the years, have noticed, that the last 10 years have been a wonderful growing experience in my career. During this growing period I have had the honor of working for bars like Spin Nightclub, Roscoe's, Icon, Qwest, Circuit Nightclub, Zentra and now, reside at Charlie's. I have and hope to continue having the pleasure of working with quite a few great Djs throughout the years.
I remember like it was yesterday, back in 1988, when I was just a customer at Bistro Too. I have always loved music but I never imagined that I would be where I am today. For this I thank the Lord as well as you the public because you made me who I am. As for what type of music I play whether it’s Charlie's or any other venue, all I can say is that I play for the people. Music that I feel, feels right. My music comes from the heart. If I can’t feel the music then why should I expect the crowd to react to it? Sometimes I think I enjoy my music too much but overall, I want the people to feel the only feeling that music can make you feel. FREE. Let my music feed your soul. That’s what it’s all about.
