The Don Lemon Show will feature a live studio audience

CNN host and former Chicago news anchor Don Lemon is heading to streaming service CNN+ with a new talk show.

The network announced, "There are no limits to the conversation as Don Lemon and his studio audience take on the most talkable news stories each week."

Lemon anchors a popular CNN broadcast that brings in pundits and other news personalities to talk about political stories of the day. Likewise, the newly announced The Don Lemon Show will do all that with the reactions of an audience seated in front of him.

The Lousiana-born Emmy Award-winner says he grew up liking talk shows from Johnny Carson to Chicago-based staples Phil Donahue and Oprah Winfrey.

Lemon was a reporter and news anchor at NBC-owned WMAQ-TV, branded as NBC Chicago, from 2003. He jumped over to CNN in 2006.

He currently lives in Harlem and is engaged to real estate agent Tim Malone.

CNN+ is expected to launch in March 2022 with pricing possibly at $5.99 per month. It would go head-to-head with Peacock and FOX Nation streaming services which provide considerable news content.
