Chicago Pride Fest 2021, Friday, October 1 through Sunday, October 3
After a year away due to COVID-19 constraints, an in-person Chicago Pride Fest returns this weekend to the Northalsted neighborhood, commonly referred to as “Boystown.”
Festival organizers recently announced the addition of Sunday, October 3, following the cancellation of the 2021 Chicago Pride Parade. With the added day comes even more live music and entertainment, including Vincint, Brooke Eden, Debbie Gibson, Katie Kadan, Mila Jam, Nina Sky, and more.
COVID-19, which forced a cancellation in 2020, is still playing a part.
Organizers said the same protocols in place for Northalsted Market Days in August will be repeated for the Pride festival, which includes the recommendation that attendees be fully vaccinated or wear a mask.
Free COVID testing and vaccinations from Northshore Clinical Labs will be available onsite.
The legendary street festival, traditionally held the weekend before the Chicago Pride Parade in June, runs Friday, October 1 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, October 2 and Sunday October 3 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on N. Halsted St. from Addison to Grace.
A $15 suggested donation helps pay performers, festival workers, and funds community programs in the north side neighborhood. Chicago Pride Fest is produced by the Northalsted Business Alliance.
