'Eating Rainbows' carnival on June 26 will benefit Brave Space Alliance

The Eye Eaters Society—a not-so-secret supper club and visual arts group—will host its third annual 'Eating Rainbows' festival on Saturday, June 26 from 6 to 10 p.m.
The carnival-like event will take place at the lot of 1400 W. Carroll Ave.—west of Fulton Market and north of West Loop.
The event is for 21 years old and older only.
The event bills itself as a “Pride-fueled gathering electrified by the colors of the rainbow as interpreted by queer performance artists, chefs, and bartenders.”
Tickets are on sale at eye-eaters.myshopify.com for $75/LGBTQ persons and $85 for allies.
Proceeds will help Brave Space Alliance, the first Black-led, trans-led LGBTQ center working in Chicago's South Side communities.
“Be prepared to dance, eat and drink the rainbow, be awed by queens, take a spin in our go-go dancer go cart course,” teased Paul Octavious.
“We ask all guests to wear a monochromatic outfit inspired bu the colors of the rainbow—just not black nor white. Have fun with it.”
Lucy Stoole, Aunty Chan, Ramona Slick, and Miss Toto will entertain.
There will also be DJ sets from Audio Jack and DJ Tess.
The event will feature a mix of small businesses—like food from Chef Kelly Ijichi of Mom's, 111 N. Abderdeen St.; Chef Ollie Walleck of Heritage Bikes and Coffee, 2959 N. Lincoln Ave.; Pretty Cool Ice Cream, 2353 N. California Ave.; and décor from Luft Balloon, 345 W. Armitage Ave.

Octavious is a founder of The Eye Eaters Society and an organizer of 'Eating Rainbows.'
He is a professional photographer and videographer who includes among his clients American Express, Apple, Chappy, lululemon, Stella Artois, among others.
