Lady Gaga has become the first living person to have 10 million fans on Facebook
Lady Gaga has become the first living person to have 10 million fans on Facebook, beating President Barack Obama's record high numbers on the social networking site.
The 24-year-old pop singer, who's real name is Stefani Germanotta, reached 10 million friends over the weekend. She gained more than 1.9 millions fans alone last month and averages 140,000 new fans every day.
Gaga thanked fans on her Facebook page.
"I love you guys so much," she said in a video. "Thank you so much for all of your love and your support, and for sticking by me," she added.
At 10 million, the singer is well ahead of over pop stars including Britney Spears with 3.1 million fans. However, Lady Gaga is still behind Michael Jackson, who died last year.
Lady Gaga is currently on the road for her North American Monster Ball Tour.
