Funko and Disney are teaming up as a benefit for an LGBT youth organization, It Gets Better Project.

Officially licensed Disney characters—classics like Mickey and Minnie, Pixar faves Stitch and Wall-E, Marvel's Deadpool, Star Wars' BB-8 and Stormtrooper, and Bob's Burgers' Tina Belcher—will get the Pop! treatment.

Funko Pop! merchandise can be usually found at retailers GameStop, Hot Topic, BoxLunch, Target, Barnes and Noble, among others.

But the rainbow-gradient vinyl figurines will be available at direct-from-Funko retailers, like the Funko website and its presence on Amazon.com and Walmart.com marketplaces.

“The Pride Pop! collection is a celebration of inclusivity and acceptance. Funko supports the LGBT community and rejects intolerance and discrimination,” the toymaker said.

“A donation has been made to the It Gets Better Project, an organization that uplifts, empowers, and connects LGBT youth around the globe, in coordination with this program.”

As of June 1, the collectibles are still on pre-order special for $8.78 but will retail for $10.99.

Proceeds from the sale will go to It Gets Better Project—inspired by writer Dan Savage and partner Terry Miller.

“What began as a wildly successful social media campaign to provide hope and encouragement to young LGBT people has evolved into a major, multi-media platform capable of reaching millions of young people every year through inspiring media programming, a growing network of international affiliates, and access to an arsenal of community-based service providers,” the organization said.

GoPride.com found that It Gets Better Project had a revenue of $2,215,523 in 2019. That year it spend $1,068,662 for programs and services. Administrative costs were only $107,482.

It Gets Better Project turned 10 years old in 2020.

Funko is a publicly traded toy company founded in 1998 by Mike and Claudia Becker—out of nostalgia for iconic pop culture characters—in Washington state. The company grew from vinyl figurines and bobbleheads to officially licensed plush toys and action figures, among other products. They make exclusive collectibles sold at official comic con conventions around the nation.
