Market Days Community Pride Stage to feature breakthrough LGBTQ+ performers

If you're a local LGBTQ+ identifying musician or performer and always dreamed of playing a mainstage at a festival like Chicago's Northalsted Market Days, now is your opportunity.

That's because Northalsted Business Alliance, the group behind Chicago Pride Fest and Market Days, is searching for ten aspiring performers/bands to play unplugged sets on a new Community Pride Stage at this year's festival, August 6-8.

In addition to solo artists, duos and small bands are also being considered.

“Building a following in the Chicago music scene is hard enough, perhaps even moreso for LGBTQ artists,” explained organizers.

To apply, send your press photo, bio, social handles and any other supporting links and information to gpeterson@chicagoevents.com.

The 39th annual Northalsted Market Days is a weekend long festival celebrating life and community in Chicago's Northalsted entertainment district.

The 1/2 mile long festival features all-day lineups of live music on 5 stages, 250+ unique vendors, arts, crafts, food and drink, DJ's and dancing, sponsor booths, and more.

Mainstage talent lineup and performance schedule will be announced soon.

Market Days, along with Chicago Pride Fest, was canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Pride Fest is out for June 2021, with a possible return in September or October, according to organizers.
