Dress your pets! Miss Foozie hosts a socially distanced Halloween pet costume contest this Saturday in Lakeview.

The 6th annual Lakeview Halloween Pup Crawl is happening on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. along North Halsted St. from Belmont to Cornelia.

Pet parents can have fun with their dog in costume and enjoy a hunt for treats as part of the festive Halloween event, which will also include plenty of photo opportunities and a prize raffle.

As in past years, organizers are hoping to see costumes that range from scary to themed costumes inspired by pop culture and current events.

"There are so many reasons to cherish our pets and their positive impact," said Miss Foozie. "This is just one opportunity to celebrate the difference they've made in our lives."

The event is presented by A Dogs Best Friend Chicago, Northalsted & SSA #18. There is a $5 registration per dog at FFC Lakeview during the event or in advance at lakeviewpupcrawl.com.

Organizers encourage a mask and social distancing as part of this year's event.
