Milwaukee PrideFest starring Kathy Griffin, Patti LaBelle and Joan Rivers, June 11 - 13

Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee PrideFest 2010 returns boasting the nation's largest LGBT pride entertainment lineup, taking place this weekend, June 11, 12 and 13 at Henry Maier Festival Park Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee.

The three day festival has become a summer destination for the Midwest's LGBT community and one of the nation's premier Pride festivals.  PrideFest drew in more than 30,000 attendees last year, setting a festival record.

PrideFest has a solid history of securing quality entertainers to perform at its large venue along Milwaukee's lakefront and this year is no different.

Opening as headliner on Friday, June 11, is the amazingly funny, frequently controversial and fearlessly unashamedly self-promoting Kathy Griffin.

"When we signed her to headline PrideFest in 2007, we thought we were pretty fortunate," said PrideFest Entertainment Director David Charpentier. "Not only is she returning, we have the great honor of being the exclusive stop in the Midwest region for her spring 2010 tour. It's amazing!"

The extraordinary Patti LaBelle headlines Saturday, June 12, hosted by comedian Bruce Vilance with an appearance by Russian pop sensation Katina from the music duo t.A.T.u.

"I still have so much more to do, so many other things to try. I have a lot of blessings, a lot to be thankful for... but I'm always excited about what else there is for me to do, LaBelle said. "I feel very proud."

Funny fashion maven Joan Rivers headlines PrideFest's final night on Sunday, June 13.

Milwaukee PrideFest kicks off at 3 p.m. on Friday. The grounds remain open until Midnight all three nights with the festival opening at Noon on Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets are available for purchase and printing online at www.PrideFest.com through 1 p.m. on Friday.

"PrideFest 2010 will be the best party in town and everyone is invited, said PrideFest President Scott Gunkel.
