A "featured extra" role on the hit HBO series "True Blood" is being auctioned off to benefit the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).
"True Blood" is the story of a world in which vampires are treated as people with an illness who "come out of the coffin" and "synthetic blood" is manufactured and sold publicly. Waitress Sookie Stackhouse's (Anna Paquin) telepathic skills help her sympathize with the vampires.
The third season of the show starts in June, with the Vampire King of Mississippi, Russell Edgington (Denis O'Hare) and his boyfriend Talbot (Theo Alexander) joining the cast.
As of Wednesday morning, the bidding on charitybuzz.com was at $3,500 with increments of $250 required. The auction estimates the value of the role at $20,000.
The auction winner will be allowed to bring a guest to the the set in Los Angeles.
The winner will be paid standard rates for an extra and need to be able to provide tax information.
