LGBT town hall meeting with Chicago's top cop this Wednesday

Chicago, IL - Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis will attend a town hall meeting for Chicago's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community at 6 p.m., Wed., May 26, in the Hoover-Leppen Theatre at Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted.

The meeting, organized by The City of Chicago Commission on Human Relations' Advisory Council on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues, will address community concerns about targeted crimes of violence against members of the LGBT community.

Weis was selected as the 54th Superintendent by Mayor Richard M Daley. He took office on Feb. 1, 2008.
