D.S. Tequila space sold, will temporarily reopen over Pride Fest weekend

Wed. May 29, 2024

The D.S. Tequila space on the Northalsted entertainment strip has a new owner.

The property at 3352 N. Halsted has been sold to Tristan Schukraft, CEO of the MISTR, as first reported by Jake Wittich of Windy City Times.

Renovations on the 4,200-square-foot space will begin this fall, with plans on introducing something new or reviving the D.S. Tequila brand to be announced at that time.

Until then, the business will temporarily reopen over Pride Fest, the Pride Parade and Market Days weekends this summer.

“I believe in preserving the LGBTQ+ community not only in West Hollywood, New York and San Juan, but also in Chicago,” Schukraft told Windy City Times. “What we do with D.S. Tequila will be very complementary to the other businesses in Northalsted."

D.S. Tequila, a popular stop in Chicago’s LGBTQ neighborhood, closed in October after 14 years.
