Navy Pier docks many cruises throughout the year. From the Odyssey to the Seadog there is something for every adventurer and tourist. Water taxis give people a lift from the Shedd Aquarium to their destination on the lake. With parking very expensive in the Pier garage, taxis are strongly recommended.
I tried a few of the cruises recently to see what all the excitement is about.

The Spirit of Chicago offers a brunch cruise on Sundays that boards at noon. The buffet was eggsellent. The staff added some cheese with their karaoke stylings but the view and bloody marys really hit the spot.

At night try the Mystic Blue. They offer a fireworks dinner cruise that lasts for three hours so be prepared to stay for awhile. The lively crew can dance up and storm. The margaritas nicely complimented the buffet full of chicken, tacos and desserts. Also, buy a bottle of wine to pass the time. Couches align the top deck to view the fireworks. Service was really topnotch with a very attentive staff.

The cruise is a great way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or night out on the town. The ambiance was very gay friendly with many couples enjoying the romance. Miss Foozie loves to host a boat party in the summer and there are special events with holiday parties throughout the year so keep your eyes open.

I tried sailing this summer but not the same experience. After being bruised and scraped up climbing over the hull, I would much rather enjoy my night sipping a cocktail and relaxing on a luxury ship. Visit http://www.mysticbluecruises.com to book yours today!
