When I was sent the first season of Glee it took me a while to actually put it in the player. I hadn't paid much attention to the Fox hit show because it seemed for teenagers. The first episode started a little spotty then by the end when the Journey cover was performed they had me. It was fun to see them lead off with the same song for the Glee Live! tour.

I had interviewed Jane Lynch who plays the P.E. teacher Sue Sylvester a full year before she blew up on Glee. I managed to catch up with Matthew Morrison who plays the Spanish teacher after this on the red carpet at the Goodman Theatre gala where we talked about him working with Elton. He showed what a performer he is after that on the stage where Shue danced and sang his little tooshie off!

I was so excited to hear that Glee was slated to drop in on Chicago. Only a few cities got the club on the tour and we even had three shows for the weekend. The Allstate Arena was packed full of screaming girls and gays. The show was not about the singers but more about the characters from Glee. Parents loved the old covers and Amber Riley belted out "Ain't No Way" proving that her and many of the cast members will have a long career and could tour on their own one day. Emmy winner Chris Colfer or better known as Kurt was a highlight sining "I Want to Hold Your Hand."

It was a lot of fun watching the Warblers pop up and I kept waiting for Kevin "Artie" McHale to rise up out of that wheelchair, which he eventually did to the "Safety Dance."
After the show I went to Enclave to meet Mark Salling who plays Puck. He has adorable lips don't you think? I ran out of there before a slushie was thrown in my face. Not the gayest of venues!!!
