Absolut-ly Spring

Boutique marketing firm K Dock Media hosted Chicago's tastemakers at their Absolutly Spring event last Friday. Representing ChicagoPride.com, I ran downtown to the ultra-chic NV Penthouse, 116 W. Hubbard, where I found the music - by guest DJs - bumpin at the beautiful rooftop nightclub.

Absolut sponsored vodka specialty drinks for two hours with proceeds from the event supporting the Chicago Chapter of Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity's Rhodes/Whitfield Scholarship Fun.

We enjoyed our drinks in the special VIP area, which felt like we were in the Interior Illusions Lounge from RuPaul's Drag Race.

The staff was attentive and always remembered our drinks - mine a special grapefruit concoction - which kept the juices flowing.

The rooftop deck from the River North club gave a spectacular view back into the city. Now if we could just get some spring to enjoy the outdoors, the night would have been complete!

Look for K Dock Media this summer hosting Chicago's Black Gay Pride second annual white party and fireworks from July 2 - 4.
