The Drama opens up inside an ear canal and spectators should go in blind, not knowing a thing about the plot, to truly enjoy it. The film stars Robert Pattinson as a museum director named Charlie Thompson who is immediately enamored by a bookstore worker, Emma Harwood, played by Zendaya, when see her reading a book in a coffee shop.

The two eventually go on a date and, after a quick two-year courtship, make marriage plans. During a food tasting with their maid of honor and best man, a casual conversation turns serious and a dark secret is revealed. The rest of the movie is focused on how the individual characters handle the knowledge they have gained from each other and the judgments that accompany that information.

The project is cleverly written and artfully directed by Kristoffer Borgli. The Drama could easily be transformed into a stage version or even a musical, which could possibly work since Zendaya can sing.

Everything is coming up roses for the talented 29-year-old from California, who has Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day both slated for July and Dune: Part Three ready to roll out just before Christmas of this year.

Zendaya Maree Stoemer Coleman and her team are choosing roles that capitalize and one to watch in the future. Her career is set to win the long game and steer her away from flash-in-the-pan romantic comedies.

Robert Douglas Thomas Pattinson seems to have less of a game plan, but continues to pursue quirky characters to escape being trapped in a Twilight box.

Independent entertainment company A24's mission continues to highlight unusual stories conveyed in unique environments. This gives audiences a clue that The Drama won't be a typical rom-com.

There are four types of drama: comedy, tragedy, tragicomedy and melodrama. The Drama balances these genres well and has more projectile vomiting than one would expect.

The title is a bit of a mystery and downplays the originality of the script. Other alternatives could have been The Trauma, The Truth Hurts or Here Comes the Confession.

Before buying a ticket, people should avoid spoilers and enter the chapel with an open mind. The uncomfortable moments conveyed between the adept cast who are placed in difficult situations and scenarios will be engaging to many. The Drama will stir up conversations after the credits roll and some attendees watching this twisted ceremony may question their own real-life relationships before it's all over.
