Kings Dining & Entertainment rules on fun

Kings Dining & Entertainment began serving patrons in 2002 in Boston but has since expanded across the United States including two locations in Illinois. The Lincoln Park hot spot in the upscale NEWCITY shopping complex at 1500 N. Clyborn Avenue was the place to be on a Thursday night after a recent visit.

Open entering the front, one will see an inviting bar and a massive coal fire oven. As you wander around, check out the gaming rooms and check-in with the host. Cozy booths and tables attached to the bar are options for diners to eat and drink in a casual atmosphere.

Start off with some cocktails such as the popular Texas Tea made with Tito's Vodka, peach schnapps and black tea. Mocktails are offered for those that don't partake in alcohol and that is commendable. The Fauxjito was quite tasty and refreshing!

The food offering at this establishment could have easily just been simple junk food but instead was elevated and flavorful. Award-winning wings grace the menu combining honey hot habanero peppers with organic wild honey to create the perfect mix of spicy and sweet that was lathered on top of the meaty chicken. The thin 15 inch pizzas are presented with a variety of tastes that won't make guests feel too heavy to leave their seats and explore the surrounding games.

Kings pumps up the jams with rock tunes that are piped through the sound system in every corner. The music adds to the festive vibe of the entertainment complex and will have customers singing along to hits from the past. Can I request the song "Kings & Queens" from my friend Ava Max?

Kings rightly places entertainment in the title with plenty of games for everyone including giant Jenga, foosball and an impressive four-person air hockey table!

There is a private area for parties to bowl without the crowds complete with a disco ball. There's plenty of room to stay social and at a distance, just stay in your lane! You may even spot a celebrity or two on your visit and public figures from the past are photographed on the wall from various locations. It really shows that Kings Dining & Entertainment provides a complete escape from the outside world no matter who you are just to cut loose, unwind and play for a bit.

Daniel Gutierrez is the current director of operations at the Clyborn location and really knows how to treat his clientele. Some managers simply delegate, but he is not one of them, as he was constantly on the move to make sure all the patrons were happy and attended to. The entire staff was friendly and upbeat on the night we visited. This paid off as guests came ready to party and packed the place the later the evening progressed. It was no wonder that Kings Dining & Entertainment rules in terms of creating a fun environment and overall satisfying experience.
