Vincent Willem van Gogh surely would have appreciated the benefits of yoga. The meditation and breathing exercises could have possibly helped the tortured artist that suffered from mental illness and depression. Fans of the Dutch post-impressionist painter in Chicago can now immerse themselves in his work while working on themselves.

The already popular Immersive Van Gogh is now partnering with Lifeway Foods and CorePower Yoga to bring in yoga followers of all ages to explore fitness and art all at the same time.

Animations are projected on the ceiling, walls and floors of the Lighthouse ArtSpace Chicago, at 108 W. Germania Place, in an exhibit that has just been extended until November 28, 2021 after selling out the current block of tickets. In our current world, people are looking for safe ways to leave the house and enjoy an excursion. Immersive Van Gogh has proven to be the golden ticket that art lovers needed. The carefully selected soundtrack and 40 projections has connected with many so far in Chicago in the over 15,000 square foot space.

Touchless tickets, temperature checks and circles on the ground will keep attendees safe as they relax on their mats with a guide that will take them on a healthy journey, no matter what their level of expertise, in approximately 35 minutes.

Masks are required and do make it a bit tricky to take in those deep, thoughtful breaths, but the unique and relaxing experience quickly overpowers that frustration. Depictions of the iconic Starry Night and breathtaking Irises pictures are just part of the art that will transport guests visually to a serene world as they pose and stretch themselves to their limits. Strengthen your downward-facing dog, as van Gogh himself looms over you in a self-portrait, while the instructor guides you along.

Classes are currently scheduled for Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 8 a.m. with additional times of 7 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The price is $54.99 person and limited. To reserve a circle, visit VanGoghChicago.com today.
