Nothing Bad About MAD Social

In the West Loop of Chicago there's a hot spot that deserves to be celebrated. MAD Social at 1140 W. Madion St. is the place to be. Brought to you by the Stefani Restaurant Group, MAD Social is the first restaurant from Gina Stefani, Phil's daughter. I imagine there will be more to come.

There's something about her greeting guests as they first enter the door that will makes one feel right at home. The atmosphere is welcoming and the lighting is dim enough to create a cozy feeling. Snag a booth and settle in for a night of relaxation.

Hopefully, you haven't eaten all day, because the portions are large. Start off with the chicken drumettes. They are jalapeno and cheddar stuffed with a bacon wrapping. Speaking of bacon, grab the meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potato frosting and brown gravy.

If you haven't tried MAD's chicken and waffles then go for it. Plan on a massive amount of food that is recommended to share.

For some red meat cooked to perfection, sample the steak frites with hand cut fries.

For dessert, the ice cream sandwiched between churro waffles is the way to finish the night.

The knowledgeable bar staff has created some yummy cocktails to accompany your meal. Pretty in Pink mixes vodka with muddled strawberry and basil or try another movie inspired drink called the Rosemary's Baby with vodka and ginger beer.

Stefani has really done her family justice by creating a fresh new menu that will have the crowds coming back for more.
