Chicago's annual Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry packed in the crowds in the event space at Revel Fulton Market.

Each year chefs and establishments raise money for a worthy cause in 20 cities around the nation.

This was my first time attending the event and I was lured in with a band I had interviewed in the past, The Shadowboxers, who opened for Justin Timberlake on a recent tour.

I was blown away by the delicious food from places like Rice & Gold and Phuc Yea. The Impossible Burger was in the house with plant based offerings including sliders and tacos plus a lively photo booth.

Drinks were onhand presented by mixologists from El Che Bar, Grand Central Bar and Boka Restaurant Group. It was a bit dark in the room but it added to the ambiance and the accoustic set of The Shadowboxers.

Luckily there was some water provided by Topo Chico to wash the samples down as it felt like a full meal.
