Six Flags Great America just debuted a new world record brekaing rollercoaster called the Mardi Gras Hangover. Riders literally hang out upside down a 100 feet above the ground.

There are six inversions with 360 degree revolutions. There are 32 seats with a face to face design to judge your friends reactions. This is the park's 16th rollercoaster and is a lot of fun.

Look for Out in the Park on Sept. 8 with more details to follow. This will be the first year to have a Holiday in the Park event running Nov. 23 through the end of December with new extended hours and days to the amusement park.

The Sweet & Snacks Expo gave Chicago a sweet tooth recently from May 22-24 at its usual sweet spot McCormick Place.

The usual heavy hitters returned with Hershey's serving delicious sundaes and debuting new chocolate samplers from attractive models.

Hawaiian Host and Mauna Loa sent some delicious samples ahead of time to me and then I picked up more at the expo. The dark chocolate had a lot smoother taste and was not dry like in some other products. Visit their website HawaiianHost.com for details.

I closed out the week with a Supermarket Sweep style run through the venue on the last hour with my WGN Radio friends. We dodged costumed characters just like the television game show while grabbing handfuls of samples as vendor packed up and closed down.

I have enough candy to last until next year!
