The weather in Chicago remains on the colder side for springtime and looks like we will head right into summer. This creates a problem for retailers with spring fashions not exactly flying off the shelves in the Midwest.

To get shoppers in the mood, Macy's on State Street has created an environment full of greenery. Once again the Macy's Flower Show is in bloom and more accessible than ever!

Titled Once Upon a Sprintime and located mainly on the first floor of Macy's at 111 N. State Street, are stations throughout the store to explore. Characters are featured in the route winding around the retail items.

Check it out before the flowery fun ends on April 8.

W Chicago City Center at 172 W. Adams St. presented an Over the Top event this week that had the toast of Chicago attending.

With a modern World's Fair theme behind it, attendees were immersed into an environment full of fun.

Throughout each hour on April 5 guests were treated to a new experience. Whether it was playing with exotic animals, a fashion show, or a drag show from local fav Khloe, that night there was something for eveyone.

Appetizers were served upstairs and in the VIP area with Ketel One drinks in each corner to wash it down.

Acrobats, fortune tellers, and hulu enthusiasts entertained until the late night clsoing time of 11 p.m.

The W Chicago moves into summer with an annual event titled Get Out of the Water Part 2: Cruel Summer with a no swim beach party.

This takes place every Saturday in July with special drink packages availabe. Visit WHotels.com for more details.
