The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo flew into McCormick Place the weekend of April 21. A combination of comics, movies, toys, and video games plus a few celebrities were on in the building for fans to enjoy.

Even before entering the actual expo there were hoards of people posing for photos in a variety of costumes. Creativity was the key with a range of disquises from Disney princesses to an homage of the hit TV show Married With Children complete with a couch!

An impressive amount of Marvel characters gathered and posed for photos in front while a DJ played nearby. The sheer amount of people was overwhelming when going inside. There was a quick bag check as guests were funneled through the entrance.

Booth after booth of merchandise was ripe for the picking. Plenty of merchandisers were thinking outside the box. It was a brilliant to offer sewing machines for purchase to make your own costume. Clip on animal ears were extremely popular for people attendees that left home without their costumes.

Promo backpacks were worn by many fans but added the lack of space at the expo. Artist Alley has grown with art up for grabs including a personal commission if desired. Chad Sell was there selling his RuPaul Drag Race art with a line at his table.

The costume contest brought in many competitors with a chance at winning $10,000. Okkido Cosplay from Hungary dressed as Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor won the top prize.

Now in its 7th year in Chicago this expo shows no sign of slowing down. Visit www.c2e2.com for information on next year's festivities.
