Meghan Trainor sold out the Rosemont Theatre recently on her Untouchable Tour.
Opener Hailee Steinfeld did an excellent job getting the crowds going. Read my interview with her here http://gopride.com/Zcnj
Back up dancers, a huge backdrop and frank confessions about songs were all part of Steinfeld's package.
Trainor arrived to screaming fans with "Woman Up." Women empowerment was the name of the game for her lengthy set. She talked about being single before "Dear Future Husband" and showed her father's support with home videos, photos, and "Dance Like Yo Daddy."
More photos from her posse was included with the track "Friends."
It was a family friendly affair with of course a large age range of spectators. Parents felt comfortable thanks to some cute top ten hits to bring their small children who danced right along with gay fans in the front row.
"All About That Bass" and "Lips Were Movin'" were expected and big crowd pleasers.
The thing is Trainor has a strong background in songwriting long before she started producing radio friendly songs so she had lots of music to pack in.
It truly is "Good to be Alive" when you are Trainor who continued to be spunky throughout her set.
"Like I'm Gonna Lose You" was a wonderful duet that worked well live even without John Legend being in the house.
She returned to perform "No" as an encore for a truly satisfying show. The girl at 22 continues to be an innovator in pop music and no one hit wonder. That just can't be touched.
