This holiday season, Chicago's theatre community recorded a CD of holiday music as a fundraiser for Season of Concern , an incredible organization that gives grants and provides assistance to those struggling with HIV, AIDS and other catastrophic illnesses.

Season of Carols is a recording of Holiday and seasonal songs produced by Eugene Dizon and Cory Goodrich. It includes the best of Chicago's music and theatre scene, who all graciously donated their time and talents to raise money for Season of Concern . The CD includes performances by Beckie Menzie, Tom Michael, Cheri Coons, The Lincoln Squares, the Chicago casts of Million Dollar Quartet, The Christmas Schooner, Hairspray, Hero, A Little Night Music, Motherhood the Musical, Violet and Floyd Collins, among others. The diverse collection of songs includes original holiday tunes, Hanukkah songs, traditional Christmas carols and other winter favorites. Well over 100 artists and members of our community came together to volunteer their time, money and skills to raise funds for Season of Concern .

To celebrate the holiday season and to kick-off sales of the Season of Carols CD, there will be a special concert on Monday, December 3 at 7:30pm at Mercury Theater Chicago. Scheduled to appear are: Melody Betts, Foiled Again, the cast from Drury Lane Oakbrook's Hairspray, Birdie Wing, The Lincoln Squares, the cast from the Mercury Theater's The Christmas Schooner, the cast from Bailiwick Chicago's Violet and Cory Goodrich.
