A little out of the way from the downtown restaurant district at 465 East Illinois Street, Quay Restaurant & Bar is worth the trip. It is impressive to bring a date to if nothing else. There is a cozy patio and view of the park out on the sidewalk in front. Heading inside the front bar is modern with a surrounding dining room. The best part might be in the rear so speak though.

As diners round the corner they are treated to a long back room that has been used from everything to private parties to hosting after parties.
There is a separate back bar that has a view of the lake. There are small tables for couples to enjoy. Fireplaces line the wall with couches for guests to relax in with 45 plasma televisions to entertain in total.

The fall menu had several not to miss items such as the appetizer spicy crab cake, that was very flavorful. Also, check out the Artisan pizza with Tuscan kale or home made bacon.
The chicken wings were messy but worth it so go after the whole bird with the Quay chicken sandwich on the new menu.
For drinks the new shadow boxer with Hennessy VS warmed the stomach and while the pumpkin spice martini garnished with icing was almost a dessert, it was too much for more than one round.

This place can hold parties up to 200 attendees so remember when the Rivers East hold those fundraisers definitely make a pit stop here before or after the event!
