Porkchop Restaurant in the West Loop features a yummy new brunch on Saturdays and Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Located at 941 W Randolph this rustic hot spot brings pork belly sliders and rock bands playing on the weekends.
If you are there for dinner make sure you hit the baby back ribs. Porkchop is non pretentious and laid back with rolls of paper towels on the tables with boar heads on the walls. You might want to leave your vegetarian friends behind on this one, kiddies.

Guests can look right into the kitchen through a glass window right by their chef's table.
The lynchburg lemonade is always a tasty beverage or have an ice cream float with whiskey.
Speaking of ice cream the homemade bacon glazed doughnuts make a good brunch appetizer with raspberry puree and vanilla ice cream.

The pulled pork eggs benedict may sound odd but turned out to be a good mix served with roasted potatoes.
My dining partner raved about the chicken 'n waffles saying it was the best chicken he had ever tasted.
This was hands and above over a recent brunch trip to Acre Restaurant in Andersonville with their boring version of the same dish. A splash of barbecue sauce on a chicken leg does not make it great, folks. Go west my friend, it's worth the trip! Visit www.chicagoporkchop.com for more information.

For lunch and dinner try Benny's Chop House. Located at 444 N Wabash Avenue the location might be a little off the beaten Michigan Avenue path, but being over the bridge downtown this is the place to be. When you are tired from shopping at Nordstrom take a break with lunch beginning at 11:00 am everyday.
Owner Benny Siddu opened an amazing restaurant with out of this world decor.

For starters try the jumbo lump crap cake or savor Benny's bone marrow that is a little bit of work to scoop right from the bone but a must try.
I really enjoyed the wild mushroom and truffle flatbread that makes a great meal in itself.
Something I may never forget is the homemade cured maple bacon. This is not a topping for a burger but a thick cut piece that is a delicacy.

Of course try the steaks such as the rib eye but save room for dessert like the chocolate pudding cake with toffee ice cream. Yes, it's rich but you don't have to be to eat out at this fine establishment. Make it is a Benny's Chop House date night tonight!
