Rudy de la Mor - Walk of Stars Palm Springs

Sunday, June 9, 2013 - Thanks to the generosity of friends and fans, cabaret legend Rudy de la Mor received his own star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars. Positioned in front of Azul Lounge and Bar, #356 is located right next to Carol Channing's star. A classically trained pianist, de la Mor, passed away March 5 in Calif. He played to packed houses nationwide, including Gentry in Chicago, for more than 20 years. He was 73. Nicky Ciampoli was mistress of ceremony and Tom, his partner for 27 years, was among the over 100 attendees who came out and showed their support for one of the most iconic performers in the LGBT community.
