Best locations to view the Chicago Pride Parade

Situated near the start of the parade, you'll find this area less crowded and often shaded from the sun. If arriving early, you might be able to find a space for a lawn chair. (Sheridan Red Line recommended - Montrose Ave. at Broadway is the nearest east/west cross-over location)

This large intersection offers plenty of standing room, but will fill-up quickly. (Sheridan Red Line recommended - this is a east/west cross-over location)

This is where the parade begins to enter the Boystown neighborhood, so the parade route will become increasingly crowded from this location south on Halsted. (Sheridan Red Line recommended - this is a east/west cross-over location)

Situated near the Center on Halsted, this intersection south to Addison is a great location for joining the LGBT community. Keep in mind that Addison and Halsted becomes extremely congested as the parade time nears. (Addison Red Line recommended - Broadway and Grace or Halsted and Addison are the nearest east/west cross-over locations)

This intersection is anchored by Hydrate Nightclub and Big Jim's and becomes very crowded with younger spectators. Arrive early for a good spot. (Addison Red Line recommended - this is a east/west cross-over location)

Be ready for large crowds as this area - right in the heart of Boystown - becomes especially congested with younger spectators. (Addison Red Line recommended - this is a east/west cross-over location)

As the parade continues to travel through Boystown, this area remains congested. Arrive early and be ready to stand. (Belmont Red Line recommended - this is a east/west cross-over location)

This location just west of North Halsted is just outside of Boystown, so the congestion begins to lessen. It's also a tree-lined street and can be a little cooler in the shade. (Belmont Red Line recommended - but avoid walking east/west on Belmont if possible)

Now in East Lakeview, this area is considerably less congested.

This East Lakeview location will get crowded, so arrive early. (This is the last east/west cross-over location along the southbound parade route)
