Grindr had a bad week starting on Monday, April 2 when BuzzFeed News reported that the popular gay dating app has been sharing its 3.6 million daily active users' data with two other companies, Apptimize and Localytics. By Tuesday, April 3, two senators demanded that Grindr explain how it's sharing its user data. In a video released on Grindr.com, Jack Harrison-Quintana, vice president of social impact at Grindr, apologized "for all of the distress that we've caused over the past two days."
