Season 15 of Rupaul's Drag Race premiered on Jan. 6 with 16 queens: Amethyst, Anetra, Aura Mayari, Irene Dubois, Jax, Loosey LaDuca, Luxx Noir London, Malaysia Babydoll Foxx, Marcia Marcia Marcia, Mistress Isabelle Brooks, Princess Poppy, Robin Fierce, Salina EsTitties, Sasha Colby, Spice, and Sugar. The Grand Finale will air Friday, April 14, 2023.

On Season 15, Ep. 6 - Old Friends Gold, The internet’s favorite “Old Gays” are brought in to introduce this week's challenge, Golden Gal Groups, as the queens divide into three groups of four. The genre choices, which are to be decided between the girls, are hip-hop, metal, and country, and nobody wants country because drag queens don’t listen to a lot of country. The runway category this week is tie-dye. The tops are Mistress, Sasha, and Aura, with Aura winning. Jax and Robin are in the bottom two, as expected. The pair lip sync for their lives to “In Your Room” by the Bangles. Robin, who was described as forgettable in the group competition, goes home.

This week, the queens exchange flatulence for canned laughter, as the melodramatic acting challenge returns in sitcom form. The Emmy-winning drag queen competition is broadcast Fridays at 7:00 pm CT on MTV.

Everyone knows this show is so much better shared. Here’s a list of viewing parties happening at some of your favorite venues in LGBTQ Chicago. So, sashay over!
