This summer, an R&B legend will grace the outdoor Miller Lite Main Stage with her presence and make this a PrideFest to remember. Ever since 1961, when the extraordinary Patti LaBelle broke onto the scene with The Blue Bells million-selling hit "I Sold My Heart to the Junkman" she has been giving it her all – both on and off the stage. The results are countless adoring fans, and over 50 million albums sold worldwide.

This June 12, LaBelle headlines the second evening of PrideFest Milwaukee, and brings that celebrated soulful voice to the shores of Lake Michigan.
As one of contemporary music's living legends, LaBelle has received many accolades, awards and accomplishments, and is constantly challenging herself creatively and artistically.
"I still have so much more to do, so many other things to try. I have a lot of blessings, a lot to be thankful for… but I'm always excited about what else there is for me to do" says LaBelle.
What LaBelle has already done is won two Grammy Awards, seven NAACP Image Awards (including the coveted Entertainer of the Year Award), three Emmy nominations, and two American Music Awards. In addition, she has received honorary doctorate degrees from Boston's prestigious Berklee School of Music, Cambridge University and Drexel University, a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame (still the only one paid entirely by fans) and several various Lifetime Achievement awards.
In 2007, she was presented with the GLAAD Excellence in Media Award in recognition of her strong support of full equality for the LGBT community and her work to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS.
Outside of performance accolades, LaBelle has penned four books (including three New York Times bestsellers) and served as a spokesperson for the American Diabetic and Dietetic Associations, the National Cancer Institute and the National Minority AIDS Council's, "Live Long Sugar" campaign. Her foundation, The Patti LaBelle Medical Education Scholarship Fund, is administered through the National Medical Association.
This Philadelphia native has been a chart staple with over thirty charted singles including 1983's chart topper "If You Only Knew," the 1985 smash "New Attitude," a pop and R&B number one single "On My Own," (1986 duet with Michael McDonald,) and more recent hits like "Somebody Loves You Baby," "When You've Been Blessed, " The Right Kind Of Lover," and "When You Talk About Love." Her 1974 LaBelle mega-hit "Lady Marmalade" is still to this day, a staple in any Pride music mix. It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2003.
"I feel very proud," she says of her status as one of the world's most beloved musical divas. Whether she's singing full out on a love ballad or telling it like it is on one of her soaring songs she has become known for, Patti LaBelle will continue to deliver as only she can.
