Chicago, IL -
Andersonville residents and visitors will soon be able to stop into the neighborhood's newest watering hole for a drink and a game of pool, Skee-Ball, shuffleboard, and even life-sized Connect 4. With an opening planned very shortly, Meeting House Tavern will occupy the front half of the building at 5025 N. Clark St. on the corner of N. Clark and W. Winnemac. Hutch opened its newest location in the rear of the building earlier in the year.
Meeting House will offer a unique gathering place in Andersonville by providing multiple types of interactive and passive entertainment within a single, multi-story venue along with a rotating selection of reasonably priced cocktails, beers and frozen drinks, nightly drink specials, and specially-themed nights.
When Meeting House Tavern's doors open, guests will experience a new dimension of entertainment options not found anywhere else in the neighborhood including:
Traditional Pub Games – Guests will find darts, a pool table, Skee-Ball, and shuffleboard, available free of charge. Several arcade games will be available, also for free, with a focus on multi-player games;
Board Games – The bar will offer a wide selection of new and indie board games as well as nostalgic games for guests to choose from. A combination of large communal tables and lounge seating groups will be available for game play;
Video Based Entertainment – Televisions positioned throughout the bar will broadcast sports programming focused on local teams and college sports; at times they will show music videos/VJs, and popular television show for viewing parties. Video-based trivia will be available via tabletop tablets and TV screens;
Programming – Regularly scheduled theme nights and interactive experiences such as karaoke and Tringo, networking meetups, non-profit fundraising events, pub crawls, and more;
Food from Hutch — Guests will have the opportunity to order bar snacks and pizzas from a special tavernmenu provided by Hutch American Kitchen + Bar.
The business will enhance the rapidly expanding SoFo section of the neighborhood as an entertainment destination by complementing existing businesses along the stretch such as The Sofo Tap, Hutch American Kitchen, Neo-Futurists, Full Kit, Bar Roma, Dollop Diner and the newly opened Chicago Magic Lounge.
From a press release.
