"Breathe" Hits No. 5 On Billboard's Hot 100

New York - Faith Hill's Breathe has scored several firsts for both the popular singer and the music industry. This Monday, when Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Chart is released, Hill can add yet another first to an already growing list of accolades related to her follow-up to the 4x-platinum smash, Faith. "Breathe," the first single from the album of the same name, moves up 16 spots from No. 21 to No. 5 and gives the singer her first Top 5 "Hot 100" single topping her previous high with the crossover hit, "This Kiss," which peaked at No. 7.

Upon the release of Breathe this past November, which has already sold nearly 3 million copies, Hill celebrated her first Billboard Top 200 Album Chart No. 1 and since then the "first's" haven't stopped coming. Breathe was the fastest selling debut album in history for a female country artist and the single remained at No. 1 on the Country Singles Chart for 6 consecutive weeks making it the longest running No. 1 by a female country artist since 1964.

On February 21st Hill will be featured in a one-hour television special on Lifetime TV: "Intimate Portrait: Faith Hill" and next week she will travel to Los Angeles to perform on the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards. She is nominated for Best Country Female Vocalist.
