Ride for AIDS Chicago, Saturday June 6 and Sunday June 7

Chicago, IL - As riders and crew members prepare for the two-day, 180-mile Ride for AIDS Chicago, they'll be energized by the performances of the Chicago Spirit Brigade and MidTangent Productions on June 6.

Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN), the producers of the Ride for AIDS Chicago (RFAC), have announced that opening and closing ceremonies will take place on the east lawn of Northwestern University's Norris University Center. Approximately 130 riders and crew members will make the journey to Elkhorn, Wisconsin and back, raising money for About Face Theatre, AIDS Foundation of Chicago, BEHIV, South Side Help Center, Test Positive Aware Network, and Vital Bridges.

RFAC opening ceremonies will take place on Saturday, June 6 at 7 a.m. NBC 5 Chicago reporter LeeAnn Trotter will emcee the event, while the Chicago Spirit Brigade and cast members from MidTangent Productions perform for riders and spectators, warming up riders and crew members, and cheering them on as they leave Northwestern University's campus, traveling to south central Wisconsin, where they'll spend the night.

On Sunday, June 7, at 4:30 p.m. on the east lawn, RFAC riders will be greeted by Trotter, in addition to friends, families and supporters. In the event of rain, both ceremonies are planned to go on anyway on the east lawn of Northwestern University's Norris University Center.
