Chicago, IL -
Amuka's new track "Appreciate Me" is making big waves across city dancefloors with remixes by Peter Rauhofer this past month. Thunderpuss delivers a cute tune for singer Stacy Orrico called "Stuck" on Virgin Records. TP also gives us the new Cooler Kids track called "Morning Star" (with other mixes by 29 Palms and E-Smoove) and a cut by Play called "I Must Not Chase The Boys". New off of Nervous records are 2 hot tracks, one called "When We Sing" by Global Soul featuring Natalia (Mike Rizzo Mixes) and Latanza Waters with "Bang On" (Hex Hector Mixes). Linda Woodward's new cut called "Blindsided" has a set of mixes by The Scumfrog that are definitely worth a listen. Ricky Martin's first release off of his upcoming album is called "Jaleo" with salt N pepper done by Roger Sanchez. Bob Sinclair releases "Kiss My Eyes" on Defected this month with the 2 best toss ups done by Antoine Clamaran and G-Club. From the world of Defected records also comes Junior Jack with E-Samba. The Full Intention mixes are getting heavy national play right now. Coming soon from the same label will be new cuts from Mood 2 Swing and Martin Solveig. On the White Label watch, there is a cute redux of Lenny Kravitz' "Are You Gonna Go My Way". It has a darker feel to it than one would expect, but it works.
On Soulfuric Records comes Mambana's follow up to "Libre" entitled "No Reason". Soulfuric is actually a cute House label to watch. Axwell does a lot of remixing on this label. Chus & Penn give us "Baila" on Defected and "From Madrid With Love" on Red Melon Records. Crystal Waters has returned with two tracks, first called "My Time" on Effin Records with Scumfrog mixes and second called "Destination Unknown" on Riserec records. Mischa Daniels hands the House heads the Amsterdam Sty-Lee E.P. on Work records this month. The tune to watch for on this E.P. is "Midnight Freak". The Master Tribes featuring Kika give us "Elisir" on Arimus Records out of Portugal. This is a groovy underground cut for those with funk. The Pound Boys strike again with remixes of "It Comes Back Around" by Billie on SuSu records. Linda Eder's remake of "I Am What I Am" on Atlantic packs a punch with Manny Leman mixes and Boris N Beck. Giovanna is a newcomer with a cut called "You Got Me" on Act 2 records. Charlie Rosario and Giuseppe D deliver the anthem type mixes on this track. Lastly, if you get a chance, log onto www.amplituderecords.com and check out the new version of the website. It's really cute. On to Reviews:
