The new music series will feature live bands Friday and Saturday nights in the heart of Chicago’s gay district.

Chicago, IL - Music lovers won't have to wait until Chicago Pride Fest or Market Days to see live bands on Halsted Street, as Halsted's Bar & Grill kicks off its first music series, "Halsted's Live."

Best of all, the bar and restaurant doesn't plan to charge a cover.

The new event series, located at 3441 N. Halsted St., will debut on Nov. 15 and run on Friday and Saturday nights from 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Halsted Live's opening act will be Crush On Radio, the R&B/pop band that frequents Chicago festivals and summer events, including Pride Fest.

It's all being imagined by LKH Management partners Mark Liberson, Sean Kotwa and Peter Healy. The trio are owners of Boystown staples like Halsted's, Elixir, Replay and Hydrate, as well as operators of Whiskey Trust and Manhole.

"For all the entertainment on North Halsted, there was nowhere to see great live music," Liberson said. "We have a great space to be able to bring the bands that make street fairs so fun and can be seen at music clubs throughout the city."

Following Crush on Radio's debut, Your Villain My Hero takes the stage on Friday, Nov. 21 with an eclectic mix of top 40 pop and club music. Six to Midnight will rock on Nov. 22 with covers of everything from Foo Fighters to Footloose, followed by The Breakfast Club bringing the 80s to the stage on Nov. 28. U.F.C. Band closes out the month on Nov. 29 with a show full of popular party songs ranging from rock to pop, and from the 70s until today.

All of it will be accompanies by a new menu at Halsted's Bar & Grill.

"With the addition of the live bands from 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., on the weekends we will be adding a late night menu for guests to enjoy," Kotwa added.

The Lineup:

Saturday, November 15 - Crush on Radio

Friday, November 21 - Your Villain My Hero

Saturday, November 22 - Six to Midnight

Friday, November 28 - The Breakfast Club
