London, England - George Michael has apologised for "screwing up again" after he was arrested again for drug possession.

The British pop singer was arrested in a public toilet in a London suburb on Friday after he was found in possession of crack cocaine and cannabis.

"I want to apologize to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them I'll sort myself out," Michael said in a statement issued through his publicist. "And to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them."

Last year Michael pleaded guilty to being unfit to drive after being found slumped at the wheel of his car with traces of cannabis and GHB (liquid Ecstasy) in his body. Michael was first arrested in 1998 for "engaging in a lewd act" with an undercover police officer in a Beverley Hills public toilet, prompting the singer to openly disclose his homosexuality.

He was released with a warning on Friday and no further action is expected.

Michael, who has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, ended a nearly two-year world tour in August this year with two performances in London's Earls Court. He is estimated to be worth as much as $200 million.
