Hillary Clinton to ‘Concede’ Tonight

New York City - As Sen. Barack Obama is on the verge of capturing the Democratic nomination with primary victories in both Montana and South Dakota tonight, Sen. Hillary Clinton appears to be weighing her options.

The Associated Press is reporting that Clinton will stop short of formally ending her campaign tonight. She will continue to speak on health care and other issues, a campaign official said, but by and large, the campaign is over.

Clinton Campaign Chairman Terry McAuliffe rejected the AP report as "100 percent" incorrect, though ChicagoPride.com has confirmed the Clinton campaign will be "suspended" tonight or tomorrow.

According to reports, most campaign staff will be let go and paid through June 15. By not formally withdrawing from the race, Clinton has more leverage to negotiate with Obama for things including a Vice Presidential seat and talking points in the November election, insiders said.

Today Clinton told New York lawmakers she is open to being the running mate of Obama.
