Blessed with a versatile and powerful voice that effortlessly glides between gorgeous and gritty, Chicago singer/songwriter Cathy Richardson is a true Windy City talent. She's wowed and mesmerized local audiences for many years with her engagingly entertaining and energetic live shows that feature an impressive catalog of cleverly crafted tunes, flavored with bits of gospel, jazz, blues and American rock slam. This has led to Richardson selling over 30,000 CDs to her fans as well as being voted Best Local Band in polls by the Chicago Tribune and Fox News Chicago.

Beyond Chicago, Richardson received national acclaim for her stunning portrayal of Janis Joplin in the original cast of the hit Off-Broadway musical Love, Janis and currently stars in the extended run at the Marine's Memorial Theatre in San Francisco. Last fall, Cathy made her national tv debut as a regular on Jack's Big Music Show (Noggin) and now, she's expanding her ever growing fanbase on the road in support of her seventh CD release, DELUSIONS OF GRANDUER (Cash Rich), the follow-up to the GRAMMY nominated the ROAD TO BLISS.

Fans can keep up with Richardson's busy schedule on her extensive website and sample songs from the new CD at Richardson also recently launched her new video podcast at, where fans can view clips from past shows and hear stories from the road.

Since arriving in Los Angeles in 2001, POWDER has become a huge hit on the local music scene there and separated itself from the countless numbers of bands trying to hit it big along Sunset Boulevard. The four-member group consists of the two founding members, Phil-X on guitars and Ninette Terhard on vocals, as well as bassist Allan Hearn and drummer Vee. They have a wide range of musical influences that include AC/DC, James Brown, Van Halen, Kiss, Tina Turner, the Vapors, and Squeeze. Over the years their excellence and popularity has led to the band receiving Los Angeles Music Awards for "Best Rock/Pop Artist" and "Best Live Show" as well as being nominated for "Best Rock CD," "Best Rock Video," "Best Live Performance" and "Best Female Vocalist."

In addition to their uniquely entertaining music, POWDER always manages to keep their live performances interesting, whether appearing onstage as femme-bots or 10-foot tall aliens. Branching away from their Southern California home base, POWDER has hit various cities in the Midwest and found a welcoming reception. Their headlining appearance at this year's Market Days should only serve to increase the band's fan base.

POWDER has released several singles in both the United States and the UK and recently made their international television debut by appearing on Playboy's pay-per-view program "Night Calls." They have performed at the Download Festival in Donington, England and their song, "Adore Me," was chosen as the theme song for the WNBA by ESPN. For more info about POWDER go to their website .
