Thu. September 27, 2012 3:44 PM

Chicago, IL - The Halloween season in Chicago gets a jump start this year thanks to producers of this one-of-a-kind spooky evening, "DarQness," the brainchild of Keith Elliott, Dan Paterno and Brandon Vejseli. In addition to planning a variety of bizarre and spooky activities, organizers say the evening's finale will be the "world's largest group séance." Proceeds will benefit the Heartland Alliance Food Pantry.

"Think HOUDINI meets SIDESHOW meets BLAIR WITCH," explained co-producer Keith Elliott, producer and creator of Dance for Life and TPAN's Chicago Takes Off. "We have created a walking ghost tour like you've never seen before, coupled with a macabre and bizarre variety show. To get a real sense as to what we have in store for you, you must visit our website. Here you'll "learn" about the late J. George Haigh and his vile acts of the past. We fully expect his ghost to join us."

Among those scheduled to perform in the evening's variety show include Tomas the magician; Red Rum, a performance artist with an eerie slant; Sanjula, who does body piercings and performs traditional side show acts, and Maya Sinstress, a burlesque artist and suspensionist.

Two ticket options are available via the event's website www.darqness.org.

For $50 you can be a VIP guest, enjoying the 8 p.m haunted tour, VIP wine reception, where you will be entertained and intrigued by costumed performance artists and "other-worldly spectacles, and then the Sinister Variety Show.

For $25 you'll be admitted right into the 10 p.m. Sinister Variety Show.

DATE: Saturday, October 13th: 8 p.m. & 10 p.m.
