DogFriendly.com Names Top 10 Dog-Friendly Cities To Visit in North America

Chicago, IL - Chicago is a pooch-loving town, that according to DogFriendly.com. The national website has compiled its 3rd annual list of the Best Top 10 Dog-Friendly Cities to Visit in North America, and Chicago took the top spot.

The annual rankings were determined by the DogFriendly.com staff and take into account the number and quality of dog-friendly accommodations, interesting things to do with your dog and outdoor restaurants that allow dogs.

According to the survey, Chicago has many things to do for visitors who bring their dogs. Chicago offers upscale hotels that welcome dogs and for sightseeing, there are horse and carriage rides, as well as boat tours on Lake Michigan and the Chicago River. The website noted the annual White Sox "Dog Day" baseball game and the city’s excellent park system.

The most notable problem with Chicago, according to the survey, is that dogs are not allowed on the public transit system.

After Chicago, Vancouver, British Columbia, was listed in second place and Boston in third.
