Shows finale and audience voting is Sunday, June 26th

Chicago, IL - Many in Boystown and throughout Chicago have followed Dan Smith and Steve McDonagh, owners of Hearty Boys Catering and signature restaurant “HB”, as they compete in "The Next Food Network Star" on the Food Network.

Each week in June, McDonagh and Smith and the seven other contestants from around the country compete for their own six-part cooking series in "The Next Food Network Star."

The hopeful chefs have participated in a series of cooking tasks, and are judged on their skill, personality, and overall food philosophy.

The local pair has received rave reviews about their appearance on the show.

The finale episode of the national reality show, which has aired every Sunday in June, is Sunday, June 26th at 8pm CT.

In the special 90 minute finale, the remaining finalists meet with Rachael Ray to develop a mini-pilot and film on the 30 Minute Meals set, before leaving their fate up to the audience.

The audience, not the judges, have the final say on who receives the contract with The Food Network.

With the finale on the same day as Chicago’s Pride Parade, it’s important that gay Chicago vote for the local favorites!
