Growing up in Jamestown, North Dakota, DJ Jon Hersth developed his ear and skills as a musician playing piano and percussion instruments. In 1993 he moved to Minneapolis and began going to the local gay clubs. The more clubs and circuit parties he experienced around the country, the more he wanted to get involved. He then began mastering his DJing skills with a creative passion at various after-hours and events in Minneapolis. Over the years, he has attracted a strong local following and currently holds a residency at Minneapolis‘ premier gay nightclub, “Bolt“. In 2004, the readers of the Twin Cities local GLBT publication voted Herseth the “Most Outstanding Twin Cities DJ.”
Jon has spun in clubs in various cities and circuit events around the country, highlighted by the following:

Jon’s strong conviction for time and place appropriateness is evident in his ability to play anything from a pool party to after-hours. His ability to create a unique musical “journey” is enhanced by the use of many of his own mixes and edits. He attributes much of his success to his ability to “feel the crowd” and remain flexible throughout his sets.
