A native Chicagoan, DJ Luis M has been at the center of the House Music revolution. Growing up with these sounds as his life's soundtrack had significant as well as subtle effects in his overall musical perception. Add to that a dash of early Italian Disco-House, and a bleep of Techno and you have quite a combination!
Luis M really has no style of music that he prefers over another, but one thing that you will always hear in his mixing is a certain depth-of-soul which as he explains: “A track, be it techno, trance, or progressive must have a certain "something" that makes the audience participate by dancing, singing along, or just flying with it…” This “depth-of-soul” is what seems to keep Luis M’s fans coming back. Known for introducing little known tracks to the dance community, Luis M is always re-inventing himself with DJ sets that are always fresh and innovative and always at the edge.
Luis M has been spinning for the last 20 years, doing it all: from the necessary wedding reception halls and house parties to raves, clubs and now the circuit scene. Always one to reach for the freshest and newest sounds, he has spun his web globally with gigs all across the U.S. as well as from Spain to Holland with the blessing of the one and only DJ Tiesto.
Currently, Luis M can be found spinning at his Chicago residencies at Y-Bar, Sound-Bar, Berlin and Hydrate Chicago. Additionally, his production work is beginning to flourish as he plans to release several debut tracks and remixes in 2005.
