Gay Radio Service SIRIUS OutQ Adds Six New Weekend Programs

New York, NY - SIRIUS OutQ, America’s first and only full-time gay radio service, expanded its commitment to the GLBT music scene by launching six new weekend music programs on December 4.

The new weekend music programming will feature an emphasis on gay artists and other programming directed to the GLBT community:

- All Mixed Up - A variety of music by GLBT artists Saturday & Sunday, 7am ET to 4 pm ET
- SIRIUS OutQ Hot 20 Jeremy Hovies and Charlie Dyer spotlight 20 songs by GLBT artists, with artists interviews and special guests Saturday & Sunday, 4 pm to 6 pm ET
- At Home With… SIRIUS OutQ talk show hosts invite you to “their place” and play their favorite songs Saturday, 6 pm to 9 pm ET
- Saturday Night OUT Nonstop dance mix Saturday, 9 pm to 7am ET
- QTea Dance music show Sunday, 6 pm to 9 pm ET
Sunset Cruise Love Songs, Requests & Dedications Sunday, 9 pm to 1 am ET

SIRIUS OutQ Station Manager John McMullen said, “Our diverse offering of talk programming during the week will now be complemented by an outstanding array of music programming on the weekend – customized to mirror the mood of our audience and giving GLBT artists an outlet for their music that no one else offers.”

Commenting on SIRIUS OutQ’s current daily overnight music program, Last Call, recording artist Richard Barone (former leader of rock/pop band The Bongos, who also has a prolific solo career) said, “Last Call is the best party on the radio, with some of the most memorable music from some of my favorite friends. And now that SIRIUS OutQ is expanding its music programming, the party is bound to be bigger and better than ever!”
