Chicago’s leading LGBT website welcomes respected and influential contributors

Chicago, IL - Celebrating its tenth year as the leading provider of online news and entertainment for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community in the Midwest, ChicagoPride.com today announced the addition of several respected and influential new columnists and editors.

Sukie de la Croix, Gregg Shapiro and Rick Karlin have joined the GoPride.com Network's team of contributors, who already provide rich and varied content on a broad array of subjects for Chicago's LGBT community.

Sukie de la Croix is an internationally published journalist, columnist, fiction author, playwright, and photographer. In Chicago, he has written for Outlines, Windy City Times, Nightlines, Nightspots, Chicago Free Press, and Gay Chicago. Gay Chicago Rewind by Sukie de la Croix will appear weekly on ChicagoPride.com beginning, February 16, 2012.

"Gay Chicago Rewind is partly nostalgia, but also it serves to illuminate the footprints LGBT's have left on the history of Chicago itself," said de la Croix, who is also a historian.

Rick Karlin has been one of the leading feature writers in Chicago's LGBT community. His coverage of trends, personalities, entertainment, travel, dining, fashion and decorating have appeared locally in Metromix, Not for Tourists, Gay Chicago, GayLife , Chicago Free Press and the original Windy City Times. Rick's Picks and Local Dish by Rick Karlin appear regularly on ChicagoPride.com. In addition to serving as the site's dining editor, Rick is currently the editor of Boi Magazine. He was inducted into Chicago's Gay & Lesbian Hall of Fame in 1997.

Gregg Shapiro is both a literary figure and a music and literary critic. His work in Chicago has been published in Outlines, Nightspots, En La Vida, BLACKlines, Chicago Free Press and Gay Chicago. He was inducted into Chicago's Gay & Lesbian Hall of Fame in 1999. Reel Advice by Gregg Shapiro will appear weekly on ChicagoPride.com beginning, February 16, 2012.
