Dragtastic.com Viewer's Choice Entertainer of the Year

Dragtastic.com, Chicagoland’s premier site for drag performance, is proud to announce Sassy Trade as the winner of the 2004 Chicagoland Viewer’s Choice Entertainer of the Year and Asia LaBouche for 2004 Beyond-Chicagoland Viewer’s Choice Entertainer of the Year.
More than 1,600 votes were received from June 1 through June 11 for a combined 13 performers nominated by users online for both categories.
Sassy Trade and Asia LaBouche garnered 31% and 25% of the total votes in each of their respective categories to win first place.
Second and third place mentions for Chicagoland were Tajma Hall (27%) and Angelique Munro (20%). Grabbing the second and third place mention for Beyond-Chicagoland were Amanda (24%) and Sabrina White (23%).
First place winners will receive crowns from Dragtastic.com to accompany their official titles and a variety of prizes from contest sponsors:
• Crusin’ Chicago is awarding both winners dinner at Four Farthings restaurant in Lincoln Park and a certificate to Ultima cosmetics stores.
• DragDepot.com is awarding both winners online shopping certificates.
• Nightspots Magazine is awarding both winners ticket packages to Bailiwick Theater.
• SSKRhinestones.com is awarding the Chicagoland winner a Lace collar bib dangle necklace and earrings set complete with Genuine Austrian Crystals.
• ChicagoPride.com, Cruisin’ Chicago Magazine and Nightspots Magazine—trusted for their Chicagoland entertainment coverage—were all media sponsors for this year’s contest.
About the Winners:
Sassy Trade has been performing in the Chicagoland area for about 10 years and has a reputation of being extremely professional and a person that performs with a high level of quality and dedicated energy. Currently the title holder of Miss Edge 2003-2004. The biggest part of her life is the theatre where she draws a lot of her performances from. Sassy performs around the Chicagoland area, as well as, out of state. You can see her perform at the Edge in Blue Island or any of the 'Boystown' clubs doing shows, benefits or just out on the town. Asia LaBouche is originally from Ohio and moved to Indianapolis in 1990. She has been performing for 7 years. She lists to her credits the titles of Former Miss Indianapolis-America and Former Miss Southern Cities America. Asia performs a variety of upbeat music and features an extensive wardrobe. She is known as The Lady of Leg as well as Indiana's largest living indoor attraction. You can see her perform regularly at Talbott Street in Indiana.
