PrideIndex.com, an online news resource for news for the African-American LGBT and gay friendly communities, announced 19 of 24 Esteem Awards finalist.
Since 2007 PrideIndex.com Esteem Awards has honored local and national organizations and individuals for their continued efforts in supporting the African-American LGBT community in the areas of entertainment, media, civil rights, business and art.
The 2011 Esteem Award honorees will be recognized at a special cocktail reception on Saturday, July 2 at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
"PrideIndex.com is pleased to congratulate these extraordinary organizations and individuals to receive the 2011 Esteem Award," said Philip Esteem of PrideIndex.com. "These organizations and individuals are outstanding examples of activism, and service in their fields." he continued.
