Agreement Opens The Door To 12.6 Million Subscribers
San Francisco, CA -
ZDTV announced today that it has signed a national affiliation agreement with Time Warner Cable that clears the way for the multi-system operator’s (MSO) 12.6 million subscribers to receive ZDTV. The agreement enables the on-air and online network dedicated to the digital lifestyle to pursue distribution arrangements with individual Time Warner cable systems around the country.
ZDTV will be available to Time Warner cable systems nationwide via both expanded basic cable and the MSO’s digital tier. Time Warner also recently announced plans to rapidly increase its deployment of digital set-top boxes, which allow consumers Internet connectivity and interactive services.
“This agreement creates a great opportunity for ZDTV to deliver our first class technology content to millions of Time Warner Cable customers,” said Larry Wangberg, Chairman and CEO, ZDTV. “We’re delighted to join forces with an industry leader like Time Warner, and we know that Time Warner’s customers will benefit from our original interactive programming.”
Time Warner joins AT&T, Comcast, Cox, Charter, MediaOne and Adelphia as the major MSOs with which ZDTV has signed affiliation agreements. “ZDTV offers our customers unique programming that only will become more valuable as the importance of the Internet and the online world continues to grow,” said Joseph Collins, Chairman and CEO, Time Warner Cable. “We are pleased to be able to make it available to them.”
